In this exhibition, several ramifications of Mail Art will be associated. The first is historical, and gives a major place to pioneering artist Ray Johnson whose work has rarely been shown in France. Johnson invented the New York Correspondence School and at the end of the 1950s began his body of work based on letters to which he asked friends to put finishing touches.

Artist Aurélien Mole and the Art critic Etienne Bernard have been invited to propose a project for galerie Edouard-Manet Art Center in Gennevilliers. They have chosen to respond with a curatorial proposal which adds to the traditional methods of selecting a group exhibit a more collective logic, operating by ricochet.

Guillaume Leblon

With Leblon, this field is a poetic universe in which forms, spaces, and materials slow down the flow of time, materializing history and memory, and where objects exist in a threshold between the everyday and the abstract. Through sculpture and installation, Leblon explores a kind of intermediary space between the scale of the object.

L’œuvre dense et protéiforme de cet artiste s’empare de phénomènes issus de la société contemporaine dont il propose des représentations symboliques.
