Boris Achour — Séances Séances is a new addition to the Conatus series that Achour began back in 2006. Plunged in partial darkness, a range of elements form a setting/ landscape that visitors are meant to wander around for 45 minutes. Films, sculptures, sounds… yet not a single actor or live event: the combination of formal elements makes this art piece more akin to a show or spectacle.

Le Crédac, Centre d’art contemporain d’Ivry Credac, Ivry-sur-Seine’s center for art, first opened its doors in 1987 in the Jeanne Hachette Center. Today the center has found a new home in an old factory complex, the Manufacture des Œillets. This remarkable building, emblematic of Ivry’s industrial activity in the last century, was acquired by the city in 2010.
