Félix Ziem — J’ai rêvé le beau Painter from the Orient of a thousand and one nights, Félix Ziem was a nomadic artist, indefinable and eccentric. This great traveller occupies an original place in the art of the 19th Century. After the successful retrospectives in Marseille, Martigues and Beaune, the Petit Palais presents around a hundred works from the Ziem donation.

Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris The Petit Palais was created for the Universal Exposition of 1900 as a city museum in which to showcase the works bought from the yearly Salons. Most of the collection is the legacy of Auguste Dutuit. Among this collection you can find ancient artifacts, medieval objects, rare manuscripts and books, from the seventeenth century.
